Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Camp Escalante of Jensen placed a marker at the site of the first school in Jensen, Utah. Miss Lydia Maria Chatwin was the first school teacher. She was thirteen years old at the time. She taught children in a three-room log house that once stood at this location. |
