Tacrolimus (FK506) is an immunosuppressant agent in use since 1984 to prevent graft rejection following transplantation. It is presumed similar to cyclosporine in its mode of action and its toxicity. Neurotoxicity secondary to FK506 has been described and may be more common than with cyclosporins. |
