Navajo rug dating to 1900 and woven in the transitional phase style using a mic of natural and analine colored wool. Three bands of cross hatching cross the rug in orange, red, grey, brown and green and black. A red border stripe is present on each end. There is no other border. A sleeve cut from historic fabric has been sewn onto one side. The rug is stable, has minimal areas of moth damage to weft, some loss of selvage stitching and some corner damage. No color fading or bleeding present. |
