Description The second of a series of two sand paintings that were donated to the NHMU 2024; ; ; The following text is written on the back of the sand painting- "" Ant Women" This is a Navajo Indian Sandpainting thats done during the four days and five nights ceremony called "The Shooting Way" chant.; ; She wears a cap with eagle feather tied it. White line on her forehead denotes conscience and yellow chin lines denotes corn pollen path. Dots on her arms, body, and legs are ant pebbles. Arm streamer and sash pelt are of rainbow and feet of black clouds. She carries a rattle, arrow, and blessed water jug in her right hand. And an eagle feather, bow, and tobacco pouch in her left hand.; ; Rainbow bars on each sides with feather at the tips. Black bar at the bottom and horns on her head are the universe.; ; This painting is all hand done out of pulverized natural colored sand stones.; ; By: Little Flower *signature illegible* "
