Navajo Child's Wearing blanket dated 1880s. No border. Edging cords on sides are ttwisted orange 2-ply and red 3-ply. Top and bottom edging cords are orange. Vertical stepped zig sag pattern on both sides are even. Center zig zags and stylized diamonds do not repeat from center to other end to match. Each end has a light green diamong outlned in red and orange. Horizotal lines on both sides are indigo and beige with a bar of indigo in center of stepping zig zagss on sides and at bottom of; last blue stepped zig zags. A horizontal line in center and a thicker one at edge are cochineal. Blue may be a weak bath of indigo. Red and orange are analine dyes.. Width 77.5, Length 129 Centimeters
