Description Skookum male doll wrapped in a blue wool blanket with designs in beige, red and dark blue. Legs are covered in green fringed felt and fee wrapped in tan felt protrude from the wrap. The plastic face is painted, but is damaged. The hair is black yarn and is held in place with a red felt band that has blue, yellow, red and green feathers in it.; ; ; Skookum dolls were created and patented by Mary McAboy in 1914. She began with dried apple heads. Factory made from 1920;s - 1960's and using plastic for head. No arms, but wrapped in Indian style blankets. Face looks to right mostly. Skookum means "Bully Good" - a Siwash Indian word.. Height 38, Width 12 Centimeters
