ET455, Cradle for a baby, cradleboard

Goshute cradleboard for a boy composed of a tapering willow frame covered in canvas tied with hide straps. A raised rectangular woven hood edged with white cotton fabric is supported by two willow arms which split on either side of hood, and attached to frame at the top with hide strips. A pattern of horizontal and diagonal lines runs across the hood in blue and red, and blue and red pom-poms are tied on either side of design. Hide covers the foot end of cradleboard. On the back, canvas is; twisted into a decorative fringe.
