Description: Square bag of hand tanned hide (probably elk) open at one end and lined with commercially manufactured blue and white basket-weave textile. Side seams stitched with buck skin thongs over border of twill weave red wool trade cloth. One face decorated with lazy-stitched blue and pink seed beads sewn with cotton thread in a geometric design of parallel bands. Handle of tanned hide covered with loomed veri-colored seed beads on cotton thread.. Width 21.5, Length 33 Centimeters |
