Description |
Kayemsi (Mud Head clown), reddish brown sack mask with three knobs, attached at both ears and top of head. Natural brown feather headgear attached in between three knobs. Black band bordered by white lines across the eyes. Round black and white eyes and oval black designs outlined in white. White hands. Black lower legs (?). Painted kilt of ald womans dress and red moccasins (?). Commercially manufactured paint and adhesive. Poorly carved. Instead of carved legs and moccasins, a notch.; Obviously manufactured for tourist trade. Kayemsi is the most common Hopi clown and often plays games with the audience at dances.. Height 13.5, Width 4.8, Length 4.2 Centimeters |
