Description |
Close twined winnowing tray measuring approximately 46.5 cm by 39.3 cm. Stitch is a "s" slant. Two warp units function as a unit and are whole rod. Start is twined rim rods that become warp rods. Tuncated warp rods are added and twined with beginning rim rods. A large (.92 cm) rim rod encircles basket and is sewn at intervals. Basket is pitched heavily on the inside and on the bottom portion of the outside. It is probable that this basket was used from roasting pine nuts. It is worn adn has a; heavy white residue. Hide thong is looped through rim rod at top of basket. |
