Description Oral History Interview by Ken Verdoia with Edward Ennis. Mr. Ennis served as the director of the Enemy Alien Control division of the U.S. Justice Department during World War II. he was one of the limited number of Justice Dept. officials who opposed the wholesale relocation of Japanese from the West Coast at the outbreak of the war. Mr. Ennis had direct contact with many of the key figures in the relocation program, including General John DeWitt, Asst. Secty. of War John J. McCloy, and FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.
