Description Gregory Smoak earned his PhD in history at the University of Utah. His focus is Native American history and public history. He has been involved with the American West Center over the years. A longtime partner with Utah Humanities, he works with Utah Humanities, specifically Megan van Frank, as the state consulting scholar with the Smithsonian Institute's Museum on Main Street exhibits that tour Utah. He talks about the different exhibits he's been involved with, and the importance of reaching all corners of the state and how Utah Humanities is an multi-faceted and a statewide organization.
