Description Elaine Englehardt worked as an ethics and philosophy professor at Utah Valley University for 47 years. At UVU she was responsible for beginning ethics programs and developing ethics resources, as well as for other schools. During her tenure she had multiple leadership positions. She served on the Utah Humanities Council board from 1990-1997, including as chair from 1995-1997. Englehardt chaired the search committee for the Utah Humanities' executive director position after the untimely death of Delmont Oswald. She worked closely with Cynthia Buckingham who was selected as the new executive director. She shares how she witnessed Utah Humanities' impact on Utah communities, as well as how much she valued the relationships she gained while working with Utah Humanities staff and board members.
