Description Arthur Parry delivering milk on Main Street in Bingham Canyon in the early 1900s. Residents brought their own containers to the wagon and Arthur poured the milk out of his milk cans.
Comment Gold, silver, lead, and then copper were mined in Bingham. General Patrick Conner's men from Fort Douglas actually staked the first claim in the canyon. At its peak, Bingham was seven miles long but less than a city block wide. The town was unincorporated in 1971 and demolished to make way for further mining development.
