Description Cynthia Buckingham, Utah Humanities Executive Director and former Assistant Director, talks about her thirty-five year work at Utah Humanities (1983-2018). This is the second interview with Cynthia Buckingham. In this interview she talks about the programs Venture and Clemente. She also discusses challenges she faced during her tenure and pivotal moments. She talks about her retirement, and the period that she continued to consult with the current executive director, Jodi Graham. Ms. Buckingham discusses how she slowly built-up Utah Humanities staff and programming from barebones, with programming going beyond the sole focus of re-granting. She talks about outreach, and how Utah Humanities being in partnership with other organizations and being a diverse organization are all essential to UH's mission. Cynthia sings the praises of all the many people who have been a part of Utah Humanities and its success over the years.
