Artist's conception of "Flaming Gorge Dam and Powerplant" from stream level. Dam is a thin arch type rising 490 ft. above bedrock. It will have a crest length of 1,180 ft. and a crest width (width of roadway) of 27 ft. Bureau of Reclamation drawing. May, 1959. |
