Description: Soft soled Nez Perce one piece beaded and quilled moccasins with hand-stitched, turned down (tied underneath)squared tongue decorated with a 5/8? geometric beaded band and edged with ten 5/8? long, tin tinklers stuffed with remnants of dyed red feathers. The vamp is totally beaded with alternating rows of pink/purple porcupine quills and tiny light blue glass seed beads. Geometric bands of greasy yellow, red and royal blue seed beads encircle the bottom edge, ankle, center back seem; and tongue. A ?? zig-zag machine sewn green wool band encircles the ankle. |
