Scan of a manuscript copy of a popular devotional work by Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān Jazūlī, an Islamic scholar and Sufi in Morocco who died in 1465 CE. The Dala'il al-Khayrat is the first major book in Islamic history which compiled litanies of peace and blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad. This copy dates from the 18th or 19th century, and comes from the collection of Aziz Atiya, late founder of the Marriott Library's Middle East collection. |
