Description | Legacy data: A pair of stirrups constructed of a flat platform of wood with bent wood sides or 'branches', probably worked while the wood was green, and covered with wet hide, stitched together with hide cords and sinew and allowed to dry. The hide on the outside branches has decorative triangular cutouts, once lined with red wool facric (fragments still remain) and white seed beads strung on sinew and plied cotton thread. The entire stirrup is colored blue.. Height 15.3, Width 15.5, Length 14 Centimeters |
