Title |
Toward a sustainable Urban mobility: how might E-Bike rebate/subsidy work in Utah? |
Date |
2024 |
Description |
In light of the global climate change agenda, there is a growing need for sustainable transportation options and strategies. E-bike incentive programs have emerged as a powerful strategy to promote the adoption of E-bikes as a powerful yet cheaper transportation alternative to several auto trips in the United States. This report reviews and assesses E-bike rebate programs in the United States to identify key factors and practices leading to efficient and effective design and implementation of statewide E-bike rebate programs in Utah. In the report, four active statewide rebate programs were identified, interviewed, reviewed, and assessed. These states were Colorado, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Hawaii. The report concludes by identifying key factors and practices in the experiences of these programs that might lead to efficient, effective, and equitable design and implementation of statewide E-bike rebate program in Utah. |
