Description |
History: A 68-year-old man who was referred with a proptosed painful right eye with visual acuity depressed to 20/30 and a limitation of motion of the right eye. Anatomy: Conjunctiva; Orbit. Disease Diagnosis: Vasculitis. Neuroimaging: Axial CT scan showing a large nasal lesion causing right proptosis and lateral displacement of the right eye. Ocular Movements: Limited motion of the right eye. Pathology: The excision of the bulk of the lesion with a photomicrograph showing a pattern of vasculitis of the orbit. Photomicrograph of the lesion with the vascular inflammation demonstrated centrally. Presenting Symptom: Proptosed painful right eye with visual acuity depressed to 20/30 and a limitation of motion of the right eye. Treatment: Debulking and treatment of the lesion with a combination of Cytoxan and prednisone over a period of six months. |
