The B'Nai Israel Jewish Temple was built in 1891 by architect Philip Meyer. Meyer was brought to Utah by the Auerbach family (Meyer was a nephew) to design the new synagogue. It was built in Byzantine style to replicate famous synagogues in Berlin. |
