Abstract |
Agi Plenk (b. 1916) recalls her early life--being born in Hungary, living as a child in Yugoslavia, then moving to Austria where at age 11 she joined the Socialist Youth Movement. She describes her schooling, meeting Henry Plenk, leaving Europe under strained circumstances in the late 1930s and finally moving to Utah in the 1940s where Henry would be at the University of Utah Medical School as a radiologist 1940s-1980s. Agi Plenk worked as a child psychologist, eventually taking a Ph.D. in Psychology and establishing the Children's Center for children with special mental health needs.
