Letters to Earl Douglass received in July through December of 1898, including from F. W. Traphagen at the Montana agricultural college in Bozeman, Mont. (where Earl hoped to work and study); letters of recommendation from Luther Foster and Willard C. Lusk; from D.H. Ford in Kansas City; William T. Coffey at Meadow Creek and Ennis, Mont.; D. H. Todd at Kansas City; Luther Foster in Logan; William J. Foreman at Virginia City, Mont.; Philip J. Maguire at Chicago; W. B. White at Missoula, Mont.; William Hoellein at Logan, Mont.; Charles A. Parry at Ogden, Utah; M.J. Elrod at the University of Montana in Missoula; and Fred D. Smith at the University in Missoula. Douglass sent fossils to the University of Montana, for which its president thanked him and proposed an arrangement that could lead to a Master's degree. |
