This project paper contains a description of the development of my thesis exhibition. The introduction covers just over a year of work on a wood construction project, research on medieval maps, and how both endeavors influenced the advancement and outcome of my paintings. The second section titled "Objects on Rocks" is a description of the final project, touching first on the conceptual basis for the work and then on the formal issues involved. The project is an investigation into objectified evidence of individual identity in relation to time and location. Images of the paintings are provided within the text and the appendix. |
