Scans of letters sent to Marriner S. Eccles, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, following his speech for the Harvard Business School Alumni Association meeting on June 16, 1939, and replies from Eccles or his office. Many of the letters, dating from June through August of 1939, were in response to the substance of the speech, and in his replies Eccles would sometimes respond to the comments and elaborate on the subject. Included are items sent by the writers, including articles from a Banking journal and a copy of a statement by James H. Perkins, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The National City Bank of New York before the Senate Committee on Banking and Currency on June 15, 1939. |
