Eccles, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, following his speech for the Harvard Business School Alumni Association meeting on June 16, 1939, and replies from Eccles or his office. The letters, dating from June through August of 1939, were primarily requests for copies of the speech. There were also two requests for permission to use words from a radio address Eccles gave on January 23, 1939, titled, "Government spending is sound." |
