Description
The faint chuckling calls of relict leopard frogs are joined intermittently by the louder, bleating calls of canyon treefrogs. Frogs call in a narrow canyon at approximately 10 PM

Relict leopard frogs are considered "Endangered" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and are candidates for listing under the United States Endangered Species Act; their range is currently restricted to a few small areas in Nevada and Arizona; Air temperature was 19.8 degrees Celsius, winds were less than 2kmph, cloud cover was 0%, and the water temperature was 5 degrees Celsius; Recordings were made using Sennheiser MKH30 and MKH40 microphones recording in an MS pattern to a Sound Devices 722 recorder; Sampling rate was 24 bit/44.1 kHz; Local Time: 10:00 PM
