Description |
Sam was injured when the troop truck he and Sam were riding in slid off mountain road in France. Roy was thrown from the truck and not injured. Sam lost his right arm and was paralyzed. |

Masaji Roy Yoshinaga and his family were relocated to an internment camp during World War II. Roy served in the 100th battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Unit. He was drafted in March 1941 and trained at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He was stationed in France and returned to the U.S. in 1945. |
