Description |
Nutritional optic neuropathy is commonly associated with B-vitamin and copper deficiencies. Gastrointestinal surgeries, such as bypass and gastrectomies, are well-established risk factors for poor nutrient absorption. Potential signs of optic neuropathy include decreased visual acuity (VA), poor color vision, and central visual defects. This case presents an example of the impact on color vision secondary to acquired copper deficiency. |
