Description Extraocular muscles (EOMs) have a unique laminar organization consisting of a thin outer orbital layer (OL) and a thicker inner global layer (GL) presumably to serve distinct functions. It's role in rats, humans and relation to pulleys have been well documented. The study aims to determine if there are any layer differences in the C57BL/6 normal and hypothyroid mice that may help explain the pathological changes seen in hyperthyroid eye disease (TED).
