A white, fabiform ceramic piece. There is a lipped opening on the top front. The exterior is textured with layered sections of parallel lines oriented in alternating directions. This piece was displayed in the 2024 exhibition "Selfographies". / "We are not taught inner peace. If mentioned, it's in whispers of shameful discouragement. Asking to slow down, to be alone without ourselves in our bodies, feels impossible when we are expected to do it all. My work is a celebration of peace. A meditation on the complex emotional landscape we navigate when choosing peace. An honoring of the self-love we deserve and a tribute to those who have made access possible.; It is also a grieving in learning all that we have been denied and the ways our bodies have been used."
