Description There is compelling evidence that oral daily dosing of memantine is effective for reduction of functional loss associated with experimental glaucoma in monkeys*. The current study evaluated the effects of a single oral dose of memantine (20 mg/kg) on retinal histology produced by an acute retinal ischemic insult in rabbits.
