It has been hypothesized that Bilateral Essential Blepharospasm (BEB) might be due to a functional disruption of a neural network involving the basal ganglia. Positron Emission Tomography (PET) has been previously used to assess regional metabolism of the basal ganglia and interconnected structures in various dystoruc syndrome. |
