The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies is a collective partnership amongst several Watercolor Societies in the Western United States. Every year this federation sponsors an annual juried exhibition of collage and water-based media. The thirty-seventh annual exhibition Watercolors from Across the West was hosted by the Nevada Watercolor Society at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. Gerald Brommer juried the show and selected 100 paintings. The Best Show Award winner wasThe Phoenix by Carol Mansfield, a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society. The Award of Excellence winner was Wine Tasting by Dyanne Locati, a member of the Arizona Watercolor Society.Barbara Stanton was the president of the Nevada Watercolor Society for 2011-2012. |
