Sage Grouse Survey with Youth Conservation Corps

Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) employees helped with the Sage Grouse Survey in the Three Corners area of Daggett County. Regional Game Biologist Verr Don Durfee (left) and Conservation Officer Verl Hanchett (right) gave them instructions prior to the start of the survey. The members of the YCC were high school and college students. They worked for two days with Officer Hanchett in determining sage grouse production in the area. The YCC is sponsored by the Department of the Interior and Department of Agriculture.
