Scan of letters to and from Federal Reserve Chairman Marriner S. Eccles in connection with his giving a speech at a meeting of the District of Columbia Bankers Association held in Washington, D. C., on May 25, 1942. Some of the letters were requests for copies of the speech or thanks for receiving copies. Other letters were more substantial, responding to the content of the speech, and replies by Eccles or his staff that address their comments and concerns. Includes copies of resolutions adopted at the 30th Annual Meeting of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Chicago, April 30, 1942, which were the subject of several of these letters. Also a stenographic copy (6 pages) of the "discussion on price resolution" from the proceedings of the Chicago meeting.
