Abstract |
Sign in Le Havre, France for troops returning back to US after service in Europe after World War II. Phil Andersen wrote, "This has been the longest week I have spent in a long time. I found out Monday that I was going home the following Monday and since then, I have been in a sweat all the time. It is a wonderful feeling and all the time you have the fear that something is going to happen to hold it up. I will never really feel like I'm going home till I dock at New York. Boy, that will be the day." |
