Davis County Light & Power Company built a hydroelectric plant on Farmington Creek starting in July 1908, completed in 1910. They sold it to Utah Power & Light in 1913. The project diverted water from Farmington Creek with a small dam, and a 6,200 foot steel pipe (penstock) delivered the water to the power house. The GE generator was 312 kilowatt, 2,300 volt, direct current.
