Description |
The intraocular pressure rises substantially with forced eyelid closure. Patients with benign essential blepharospasm (BEB) experience increased frequency of blinking and spastic closure of the eyelids. Intraocular pressure variability is a risk factor for progression in open angle glaucoma. |
