Attendees gathered again in the evening for “Meet the Poster Author: Analytical Studies.” Day 4 kicked off with a morning of lectures on “Neuroimmunology” followed by “Ophthalmic Surgery in the Neuro-Ophthalmic Patient.” This year's Jacobson lecture was given by Dr. Grant Liu, entitled “Pediatric Pseudotumor Cerebri Syndrome: A Journey.” The second afternoon symposium of the meeting was entitled “Management of Neurologically Based Adult Strabismus.” On the last day of the meeting, the first session “The Future of NO—Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” addressed topics, such as the state of profession, the benefit of diversity, and the state of the neuro-ophthalmology pipeline. The last session of the meeting was entitled “Insight into Neuroanatomy: Learning from Pediatric NeuroOphthalmic Disorders.” The annual banquet was held at the Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate International Ballroom. Reynolds, MS Dr. Ivy Dreizin Leadership Development Grant Amanda Henderson, MD Top Individual NOVEL Contributor Dan Gold, DO Top Institution NOVEL Contributor Baylor College of Medicine/Houston-Methodist (Dr. Andrew Lee and his students) Neuro-Ophthalmology Champion Award Lissa Poincenot, MBA 2023 Pilot Grant Award Melinda Chang, MD Sidney Gospe III, MD, PhD Neuro-Ophthalmology News: J Neuro-Ophthalmol 2023; 43: e89-91 e89 The 49th Annual Meeting of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society in Orlando, Florida T he North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS) held its 49th Annual Meeting at the Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate in Orlando, FL from March 11 to 16, 2023 (Fig. 1), with ondemand content available after the meeting. Attendees were delighted to be able to meet in a manner resembling that of pre-COVID-19 times. There were more than 950 registrants and an estimated 850 physically in attendance, including 210 international attendees (174 in-person). The educational program was directed by Dr. Peter Quiros, President-elect. The Frank Walsh Society meeting was co-hosted by Indiana University. Special experts included Dr. Aaron Kamer (neuro-radiology) and Dr. Charles Eberhart (neuropathology). The best Walsh abstract presented by a fellowin-training was by Dr. Carolyne Riehle from the University of Utah, Moran Eye Center, entitled “NMO or Not NMO, That is the Question.” There were 351 poster presentation split into 2 sessions. Day 2 kicked off with “Hot Topics,” which covered high-yield topics, including acute treatment of central retinal artery occlusion, physician use of social media, ocular imaging, and 2 discussions of visual snow syndrome. This was followed by “State of the Art—Global Perspectives,” where panelists discussed optic neuritis and idiopathic intracranial hypertension from their personal regional–global perspective. In the afternoon, there was an informative symposium regarding neuro-ophthalmic genetics to discuss when and how to order genetic testing. The evening was filled with several presentations in the first scientific platforms session. Day 3 kicked off with 2 more riveting sessions of scientific platforms, followed by an afternoon free for activities, along with a forum for young neuro- Copyright © North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society.
