Description Researchers at the University of Utah School of Medicine are seeking individuals, ages 18--80, with a history of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) to participate in a double blind, placebo-based study of a new medication which may relieve the pain and discomfort associated with the condition. The University of Utah is one of 60 sites in the United States participating in this study.
