Clinical and imaging studies suggest that the annual incidence of tuberous sclerosis is 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 11,363. The skin and brain manifestations usually declare themselves shortly after birth. Almost 25% of patients are diagnosed by 2 years of age, 60% by 10 years of age, and 80% by 20 years of age. |
