Shivwits Indian School

A photograph of two unknown men standing outside the entrance of the Shivwits Indian School. The two men are standing in front of an old Ford Model T vehicle. The Model T is black (only color the model ever came in) and is fitted with a canopy for inclement weather. The man on the right is wearing a light colored overcoat, pants and a brimmed hat. The man on the left is wearing a dark colored trench coat, dark colored boots and a light colored newsboy cap. Both men stand beneath an entrance post sign with the name "Shivwits Indian School" attached to the top beam. In the background behind the entryway post sign is a brick structure that is presumably the school. Affixed to the roof of the structure is a tall chimney and standing if front of the structure is a woman wearing light colored clothing. Trees surround the schools grounds, standing in front of the school and along the sides. There are very little leaves on there branches which would hint that the photograph was taken in the fall or winter season. At the right is a low built stone wall that runs behind the car to the left and off frame to the right. A gate entrance separates the wall into two halves. A light colored frame encompasses the entrance gate. Visible in the background to the right is a mountain. The foreground is dominated by a dirt road.
