Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing, demonstrators assembled across the United States to protest police brutality against people of color. Salt Lake City experienced both violent and peaceful protests to demonstrate in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. This second emergency alert issued via telephone on June 1st and imposed a curfew for the remainder of the week in Salt Lake City in attempts to hinder public protests. |
