Morgan, these were published as Appendix B, Ordinances of the High Council in The State of Deseret, 8 Utah Historical Quarterly, 234-239 (1940), and later reprinted in THE STATE OF DESERET (Logan, Utah: Utah State University Press with the Utah Historical Society, 1987). The High Council, also known as the Legislative Council was appointed by the LDS church authorities on September 5, 1847 and functioned until December, 1849. |
