Description |
History: A 34-year-old woman who presented with a one year history of a bulging right eye without pain or vision loss. Anatomy: Lacrimal Gland; Lacrimal Apparatus. Disease Diagnosis: Adenoma, Pleomorphic. Pathology: Microscopic appearance magnified 16 times showing the structure of the pleomorphic adenomatous cells in the right Lacrimal Gland. Presenting Symptom: Bulging right eye. Neuroimaging: Ultrasonic image with the ultrasound coming from left to right showing first the eye and then a large dense anechoic mass in the right superior orbit. Axial CT scan showing the large tumor adjacent to the right globe in the superior orbital position. Coronal view of the large tumor in the right superior orbit compressing the globe inferiorly and then indenting it. Treatment: Surgical removal of lesion. |
