Block 1 - Looking north from station 44+50, at sloughing area on the upstream end of the shield at station 45+00. Trench in front of the shield sloughed 4' to 6' wide from top to bottom of excavation. Topsoil material appeared to be unstable possibly due to Mr. Oaks irrigating in field very recently. |
