Department of Internal Medicine Awards Banquet

The Department of Internal Medicine, of the University of Utah School of Medicine, recently honored its volunteer clinical faculty at the fifth annual awards banquet at the Fort Douglas Country Club. Clinical faculty are medical internists in private practice who voluntarily work with medical students and residents, attending ward rounds and teaching seminars. Many of the faculty take medical students into their private office and work as a preceptor, demonstrating and teaching students how the practice of medicine is run outside of a teaching hospital setting.
