| Description | Address: 1019 W Parkway Ave, West Valley, City, UT. Utah's second mosque, home of the Islamic Society of Greater Salt Lake. The first part of the structure was completed in 1994 with 5,000 square feet, but it was too small almost from the start. Immigrants from many countries were arriving, and by 1999 it was full to capacity during prayer gatherings. Further construction, including a second floor, added 10,000 more square feet, increasing capacity to 1,500 by 2002. |
